Items: Sample Alchemy Elixirs:

Elixirs are specifically medicinal in purpose and must be taken orally, healing the one drinking them, or giving them a positive buff, such as regeneration.  Potions on the other hand are a catch-all for other alchemical liquid concoctions, usually taken orally for best effect, but also able to work in combat against a foe via skin absorption, with a lower rate of retention in combat.  Potions may also be poured onto other items to imbue certain effects to them, such as invisibility, flame resistance and the like.  A character may only have the effects of up to two potions active on their body at a time.  Elixirs do not have these options.  They do, however, last twice as long in or out of combat, and a player may have up to four active on their body at a time.  Here are some sample elixirs, with three parts each being needed for Weak, and two more parts each for each increase in duration:

Item: Elixir of Fleetfoot (6 Silver for Weak):  This elixir increases a character's speed by fifty percent during its duration.  Made with Aquile, Vettir, and Wezen in equal proportions, mixed for thirty minutes per increase of duration, then cool without freezing for five minutes.

Item: Elixir of Reflex (5 Silver for Weak):  This elixir increases a character's reflexes by fifty percent during its duration.  Made with Aquile, Joteg and Wezen in equal proportions, mixed for thirty minutes per increase of duration, then cool without freezing for five minutes.

Item: Elixir of Retention (42 Silver for Weak):  This elixir allows a character studying or training to retain one fifth of their experience normally burned while learning new skills.  Made with Iktul, Tren and Wezen in equal proportions, mixed for thirty-five minutes per increase of duration, then cool without freezing for fifteen minutes.

Item: Elixir of Stability (32 Silver for Weak):  This elixir stops one active damage-dealing status effect on the character drinking it for the duration of the elixir.  Time stopped on a status effect passes as if it were active that whole time.  Made with Aquile, Sang and Soti in equal proportions, mixed for forty minutes per increase of duration, then cool without freezing for five minutes.

Item: Elixir of Strength (9 Silver for Weak):  This elixir increases a character's strength by fifty percent during its duration  Made with Kour and Wezen in equal proportions, mixed for twenty-five minutes per increase of duration, then cool without freezing for five minutes.

Item: Elixir of Agility (8 Silver for Weak):  This elixir increases a character's agility by fifty percent during its duration.  Made with Vettir, Joteg and Wezen in equal proportions, mixed for thirty minutes per increase of duration, then cool without freezing for five minutes.

Item: Elixir of Focus (88 Silver for Weak):  This elixir lets a character regain five focus points immediately when it is drank, and regain one focus per hour or four turns.  Made with Kour and Wezen in equal proportions, mixed for fifty minutes per increase of duration, then cool without freezing for five minutes, then brought to a boil before being drank while still hot.

Item: Elixir of Rejuvenation (78 Silver for Weak):  This elixir lets a character regain two HP per fifteen minutes or per turn while it is in effect.  Made with Firazgo and Soti in equal proportions, mixed for one hour per increase of duration, then boiled completely into a collected vapor which is then frozen and allowed to thaw.

Item: Elixir of Restoration (980 Silver):  This elixir restores health, endurance and focus to normal levels.  Made with Aquile, Soti, Kour, Nau, and Wezen in equal proportions of twenty-five each, mixed for five hours minutes per increase of duration, then boiled completely into a collected vapor which is then frozen and allowed to thaw.
